Seminole County Sheriff Foundation, Inc. is a public 501 (c) (3) organization formed to bring together charitable donors, community leaders and non profit organizations in support of, and to encourage, non-tax based philanthropic efforts for the benefit of Seminole County Sheriff's Office Deputies, employees and their families and innovations in crime fighting. All with the goal of enhancing Sheriff's Office services and to enhance the quality of life by reducing crime and the fear of crime throughout Seminole County.

Board Members

The board is made up of local community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Real estate developer and banking In Central Florida for over 40 years. Former Chairman advisory board Coalition for the Homeless. One of the original Board members, for first event, Orange County Sheriff Foundation and still serving. Founder Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and serve as Chairman of the Board. A founder and Chairman Southern Bank of Central Florida. Chairman Central Florida for Colonial Bank and also State of Florida. Also, served on Holding Company Board in Montgomery Alabama. Was Chairman Southern Community Advisory board and also served on the Board of Directors till sold To Fifth Third Bank. Stayed on with Fifth Third as Chairman of Executive committee until retirement 5 years ago.

He oversees all corporate operations, including the management of the flagship project; a $500 million development in Florida. There are more than 12,000 single and multifamily units of commercial retail, office, and industrial facilities totaling more than 600,000 square feet. He is responsible working with state, county, and city officials to enhance the Florida landscape with high-quality communities.
A McGraw-Hill international best-selling author, James has published nine books on various financial topics. He served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and is the current Florida Chairman of the Department of Defense Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve.
James lives in Central Florida with his wife and 2 children.

President for First National Bankers Bank, in Lake Mary, FL, with headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA. He was previously the Chairman/CEO of Floridian Financial Group, Inc. the holding company for Floridian Bank and Orange Bank of Florida. Previously, Mr. Brinkley was the Chairman of Fifth Third Bank in Central Florida, and prior to the sale to Fifth Third Bank, he was the Chairman/CEO of Southern Community Bancorp (SCB), Orlando, Florida. SCB was the fastest growing bank in the history of Florida to reach the $1 billion mark.
The Greater Seminole County Chamber of Commerce named Southern Bank it’s Small Business of the Year in 1989, and Charlie Brinkley it’s Small Business Person of the Year in 1994.
Mr. Brinkley holds a bachelors degree in Marketing from The University of Tennessee (UT). He has remained very active at UT by serving on the Development Council, the Board of the Athletic Department, and the Board of Governors. He is the 1998 past president of the Florida Banker’s Association, and was chosen Banker of the Year in 1999 by the Association.
Mr. Brinkley and his wife Sherry have two daughters, and seven grandchildren.

and Company, P.A., She has been in the public accounting profession since 1991 providing services in the areas of income tax consulting, planning and compliance for individuals, estates, trusts, partnerships, corporations and nonprofits/foundations. Tiffany began her career with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. She has been with Keith Altizer and Company since 1997. Tiffany has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Emphasis in Accounting) from Auburn University and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Central Florida. She serves as a Trustee for the Southern Federal Tax Institute and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Tiffany serves on the Board of Directors for the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation. She is a past Vice President of Finance for the Junior League of Greater Orlando, past Treasurer for the First Presbyterian Church of Maitland Foundation and past member of Florida Citrus Sports.

University of Florida Law School, and a former Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy where he received the Navy Achievement Medal for his service in Vietnam. He currently serves as a shareholder/partner in a law firm of Swann, Hadley, Stump, Dietrich, and Spears PA. and was managing partner for 22 years, stepping down this last year. Mr Hadley is currently serving as a trustee of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, acting as its endowment chairman and audit chairman. He is also a founding member of the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and acting as its treasurer. He believes that the best way to be a person who has an impact on the community is to be actively involved in its various civic and related activities on a regular basis. Mr. Hadley lives in Central Florida with his wife Carol.

He has been recognized by his fellow attorneys by his election to Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers and Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite. In addition to his legal practice, Frank has significant experience as a businessman, serving as the COO and General Counsel to a digital marketing company recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the USA. Frank has also served as the Vice President and General Counsel of HRC Hotels, a company engaged in the ownership & operation of premium brand select service hotels in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa and Florida.
Frank has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Sanford Aviation Authority for more than 3 years and continues to serve on their Board of Directors. He has also served on the Board of Directors for a variety of community organizations include the Orlando Economic Partnership, the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, Leadership Florida, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Private Business Association of Seminole County. He was recognized as the 2008 Business Leader of the Year and was the recipient of the 2010 Success Award for Business Achievement. The Orlando Business Journal has recognized Frank as one of the Most Influential Men in Central Florida on four separate occasions, and in May 2015 as one of the ten people you should know if you want to do business in Seminole County. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Fordham University’s School of Law.

Ocean Blue Logistics. OBL provides warehousing and fulfillment services to the personal care industry. Tom is a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy and the Florida Institute of Technology. He also served in the United States Army. Tom has worked closely with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office since 2001. Past serving as Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Board and presently on the Sheriff’s Advisory Committee. In addition, Tom was the Chairman of Kids House of Seminole County. A child advocacy center working jointly with Sheriff’s office. Tom’s passion is protecting and caring for our innocent children victims of abuse. Tom with his wife Tamara have two daughters and enjoying living in Seminole County.

42 years. He comes from a family of Law Enforcement that spans five a Law Enforcement professional for generations. Sheriff Beary retired from the Orange County Sheriffs Office in 2009 after serving four terms as Sheriff. Sheriff Beary was a founding father and Past President of the Major County Sheriffs Association serving Americas largest Sheriffs Departments.s He served as President of the Florida Sheriffs Association and the Florida SWAT Association. He assisted the FSA in restructuring the Florida Juvenile Justice System and was the Chairman of the FSA Emergency Response Team. He was the National Sheriffs Association “Sheriff of the Year in 2003” and assisted Governor Bush is restructuring Florida’s Emergency Response Plan after the Terrorist attacks in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC. He is an advocate for the National Law Enforcement Memorial and supports the Thin Blue Line. Sheriff Beary is married to Rebekah and has four children who are in Law Enforcement and the US Military.

Ed serves on the Seminole County Sheriff’s Foundation Board, Florida Hospital Foundation Board (International), APSU Board of Trustees, President of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, President of the APSU Alumni Chapter, Church Advisory Council and leadership of several other community boards. Ed graduated from Austin Peay State University with a degree in Business Administration and was also a 2 sport (Football & Baseball) All-American (AP). Ed has lived in Central Florida since 1999 with his wife and 4 children.

Prior to joining One Florida, Cary held positions of Residential Lending Production Manager at City National Bank; Florida Mortgage Market President at National Bank of Commerce (now Southstate Bank); President of First Green Bank (now Seacoast Bank); Executive Vice President of Retail, Mortgage, Private Banking at Old Florida Bank (now Iberiabank). Cary currently serves on the board of the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and Treasurer of the Lake Mary Lacrosse Club. He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida. Cary and his family have lived in Seminole County, Florida for over 27 years.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is made up of local community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Sheriff Lemma received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College, a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He also attended the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Chief Executive Institute in Tallahassee, Florida.

as a general pediatrician for over 20 years. Dr. Chaban completed his residency in pediatrics at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. He then relocated to the University of Florida and did a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease and Immunology, where he received recognition for outstanding services. Dr. Chaban founded Hunt Club Pediatric Associates in 1999 and has staff privileges at most Central Florida Hospitals. He also sits on the Osceola County Sheriff Foundation Board. Dr. Chaban is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his ever-growing family, traveling and playing golf. Don't tell him we told you but Dr. Chaban has also been seen playing Pickleball recently, he is actually pretty good so watch out!

for over twenty years. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Chaban received his medical degree from the prestigious St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in beautiful Grand Cayman Island. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with his bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology in 2009. Since a young age, it has always been a dream of Dr. Christian Chaban to join Hunt Club Pediatrics and work alongside his father, Dr. Carlos Chaban. He also sits on the Osceola County Sheriff Foundation Board. In his free time, Dr. Chaban enjoys spending time with family, grilling, boating, fishing, traveling, and going to the beach. Doctor Chaban married in 2018 to his wonderful wife Caitlin and they welcomed their first baby, Penelope in 2019. Baby Gabriella became the latest member of the family in September 2020.

Joe currently serves on the boards of the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation, Orange County Sheriffs Foundation, The Florida Hospital Foundation, and the FBC Mortgage Charitable Foundation. He has served on the boards of FBC Bank, Sunshine State Bank, Southern Community Bank, 5/3rd Bank of Central Florida, MBA’s Legislative Committee, YPO, the City of Longwood, and the Leukemia Society. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business from USF and has his CMB from the MBA. Joe was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Executive of the Year by The OBJ and was chosen as one of Florida’s Businessmen to Watch. He has been a contributor to CNBC, Fox News, and CF News 13.
Joe lives in Central Florida with his family.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Florida in 1995, Kotroba set out as an entrepreneur and credits his immediate success to the blending of innovation and operations. Kotroba also takes pride in community involvement, participating in many community organizations which include the Camaraderie Foundation, Athlete Connections and the Heart of Florida United Way. Scott is a native to Central Florida growing up in St. Petersburg and moving to Orlando in 1997.

Safety fields with 29 years of experience. He holds designation as a Certified Safety Administrator through the National Associations of Safety Professionals also holds the designation as a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist from the United Safety Council.
Chris started his career in occupational health and ground transportation in 1983-1987 by enlisting into the Army as a Petroleum/Transportation Specialist.
In the mid 1990’s Chris was hired by the Michigan Truck Safety Commission as a Safety Training Specialist. While employed there, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recognized him for implementation of the Driver Performance Measurement Program, which led to the reduced commercial vehicle crashes in the State of Michigan.
Chris is currently the Executive Director of the United Safety Council located in Orlando Florida. Chris is also a board member of the Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and he is actively involved in supporting law enforcement officers and their families.
Today, Chris resides in Orlando Florida with his wife. Combined, Chris and his wife they have seven grown children and five grandchildren.

Eric is a professional Home Building and Land Developer executive with over 23 years of experience in the Central Florida area. During this time, he managed three of the largest Fortune 500 home building companies as well as a private builder including Lennar/US Home, DR Horton, M/I Homes and currently Maronda Homes.
Since entering the home building industry Eric has proudly been part of delivering over 10,000 homes to the residents of Central Florida! He has been involved with the planning and development of some of the most prestigious communities in the area, such as Stoneybrook, Heritage, Traditions, Avalon Park, Narcoossee, Waterford Lakes and many more.
In 2019 Eric joined Seminole County Sheriff Foundation and is extremely proud to be involved with this organization which gives back to so many in need.

Scott Prewitt is Real Estate Broker with over 30 years of experience in real estate sales and development. Scott’s family has been involved in developing real estate in Osceola County, FL since the mid 1970’s. His father was one of the original brokers working alongside Bob Kingsland in assembling the parcels to develop Disney World.
As Vice President of DIX Developments, LLC, Scott is currently managing a 6000 acre land portfolio worth more than 200 million dollars. The portfolio includes the Vive on Eola, a 13 story, 144 unit studio apartment building in downtown Orlando, FL, Roan Bridge, a 1224 unit mixed use project in St Cloud, FL, Crystal Ridge a 900 unit residential project in Lacanto, FL, Southern Pines, a 160 unit residential project in Brooksville, FL, and a 900 unit residential project in the Black Diamond Ranch community in Hernando County.
Scott has been married for 35 years to his wife Lisa and has two children. Scott is an Elder at Wekiva Presbyterian Church in Longwood Florida, he is also an Honorary Sheriff’s Deputy in both Seminole and Osceola counties for his service on their county sheriff foundations, and he is a recipient of the Seven Seals Award presented by the Department of Defense for meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the Nation Guard and Reserve.
